Noivado - Maggie e Jeff

Quando chegou o convite de ir para NYC registrar o noivado da Maggie e do Jeff eu fiquei mega empolgado. Guardei a informação para mim e torcia para que o tempo voasse até o dia.

Mais empolgado fiquei ao saber que seria com uma festa num barco pelo Rio Hudson, passando em frente a lugares como a Brooklin Bridge e a Estátua da Liberdade ao por do sol... Seria um sonho.

Me preparei para o dia, cheguei alguns dias antes para fazer ensaios na cidade. O tempo lindo, até que no sábado do evento... Chuva! Muuuita chuva e frio! Pensávamos como seria. Não poderíamos aproveitar a parte externa do barco, os cenários estariam incobertos pelo tempo ruim... Ok, concentraríamos tudo na parte interna. Teríamos DJ, comida e bebida. Seria uma festa íntima com muito amor. Mas, dentro do barco.

Mas eu sempre falo, Deus ama os noivos! E, SEMPRE, as coisas mudam. Embarcamos com chuva, vento e o mar bem agitado. Risos de nervoso e foi só zarparmos (junto a outros diversos barcos que também saem para festas) no Cosmo que o o cenário mudou. A chuva diminuiu e o mar acalmou. Mas ainda tínhamos muita neblina e nevoeiro. O que confesso, até deu um charme ao ambiente.

Eu só tinha uma foto na mente: o casal se beijando na proa do barco em frente a Estátua da Liberdade. Era o que eu mais queria desde o dia que recebi a proposta para registrar o noivado. 

Quando íamos nos aproximando, a Lady Liberty estava totalmente incoberta em névoa... Eu fiquei focado que iria conseguir. O capitão do barco olhou pra mim e disse: "Aguarde! Vamos ali perto e você vai conseguir sua foto!". Quando íamos nos aproximando, as nuvens e névoa iam se dissipando e CLICK! Eu tinha a minha foto! E ia tirando fotos dos convidados com a Estátua ao fundo, todos felizes, inclusive eu!

Depois disso, tudo seria mais maravilhoso! Teve jantar, votos, discursos e dança! Muita dança...

E, não estava tudo completo ainda... Ao sairmos do barco, já com equipamento guardado, eis que vejo uma imagem e monto tudo de novo. O casal de noivos andando em direção à saída das docas com o Empire State Building ao fundo. Nossa! Foi quase um um evento turístico em NYC. Com direito a fotos na Estátua da Liberdade, Brookling Bridge e Empire State. E o melhor: foi lindo!

When the invitation came to go to NYC to register Maggie and Jeff's engagement I was mega excited. I kept the information to myself and hoped that time would fly by until the day.

I was more excited to learn that it would be with a party on a boat down the Hudson River, passing in front of places like the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty at sunset... It would be a dream.

I got ready for the day, I arrived a few days early to do rehearsals in the city. The beautiful weather, until on the Saturday of the event... Rain! So much rain and cold! We thought about what it would be like. We could not take advantage of the outside of the boat, the scenarios would be covered by bad weather... Okay, we'd focus everything on the inside. We would have DJ, food and drink. It would be an intimate party with lots of love. But inside the boat.

But I always say, God loves brides and grooms! And ALWAYS, things change. We embarked with rain, wind and the sea very rough. Nervous laughter and it was only we set sail (along with several other boats that also go out for parties) in the Cosmo that the scenery changed. The rain subsided and the sea calmed. But we still had a lot of fog and fog. Which I confess, even gave a charm to the environment.

I only had one picture in mind: the couple kissing on the bow of the boat in front of the Statue of Liberty. It was what I wanted most from the day I received the proposal to register the engagement.

As we approached, Lady Liberty was totally shrouded in mist... I was focused that I was going to make it. The captain of the boat looked at me and said, "Wait! Let's go near and you'll get your picture!" As we approached, the clouds and mist were dissipating and CLICK! I had my shot! And I was taking pictures of the guests with the Statue in the background, all happy, including me!

After that, everything would be more wonderful! There was dinner, vows, speeches and dancing! Lots of dancing...

And, it wasn't all complete yet... As we get out of the boat, already with equipment in storage, lo and behold, I see an image and put it all together again. The engaged couple walking towards the exit of the docks with the Empire State Building in the background. Wow!! It was almost a tourist event in NYC. With photos at the Statue of Liberty, Brookling Bridge and Empire State. And the best: it was beautiful!
